Update - Replacement Roof

Once the pillars have been built the main work to put together all the materials, like a giant meccano set, will take place.
Everything is coming together well to enable the replacement of the entire roof to ensure the children can work in wet-free surroundings!
Building work has started to replace the roof of the school. Thank you to all the members of The King's Church Arnold who gave so generously to raise the £4,000 to replace the entire school roof.
As you can see from these photos the main steelwork has been welded to create the structure of the roof, work is underway to replace the old wooden pillars with ones made from concrete; this should last longer in the harsh surroundings of The Gambia.Once the pillars have been built the main work to put together all the materials, like a giant meccano set, will take place.
